What Sets Bespoke Suits Bangkok Apart
In a city with more tailors than any other Southeast Asian capital, what makes Bespoke Suits Bangkok the choice for diplomats, executives, and discerning gentlemen worldwide? Four things set us apart from the dozens of newer Bangkok tailor shops.
Heritage You Can Trust
Founded in 1965, our tailoring tradition predates most of Bangkok's competition by decades. Mr. Ram and his master tailors have dressed multiple generations of the same families, from grandfathers who first ordered suits in the 1970s to their grandsons today. Six decades of refining technique, fabric sourcing, and client relationships create a depth of expertise newer shops cannot match.
A Fabric Library Without Equal in Bangkok
Our atelier stocks over 500 premium fabric options, including English worsteds from Holland & Sherry and Dormeuil, Italian wools from Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Cerruti, and Scabal, alongside fine cottons, linens, Merino wool, cashmere, camelhair, and premium Thai silk. From Super 100's to Super 180's, we source the fabrics that define world-class bespoke tailoring.
Hand-Finished, Not Machine-Made
True bespoke tailoring is built by hand, not by machine. Every suit we produce features hand-sewn sleeves and collars, hand-made buttonholes, and your embroidered initials inside the jacket. Linings, buttons, and trimmings are hand-picked to coordinate with your chosen fabric. The result is a garment with natural drape, easy-flowing fit, and the unmistakable character of true craftsmanship.
Service That Travels With You
For visitors to Bangkok, we deliver complete bespoke suits in just 2 to 3 days with multiple fittings. For international clients, we ship completed garments to over 100 countries via DHL Express and keep your measurements on file, so you can reorder suits, shirts, or trousers from anywhere in the world.

QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR TAILOR SHOP
Who founded Bespoke Suits Bangkok?
Bespoke Suits Bangkok carries forward the tailoring house founded in 1965 by master tailor Mr. Ram, one of the first professional custom tailors in Thailand. Mr. Ram built his reputation dressing diplomats, executives, and civil servants at a time when Bangkok had only a handful of true bespoke ateliers. Today his master tailors continue that tradition at our Sukhumvit 28 shop, and Mr. Ram himself is often on hand to advise on fabric and fit.
How long has your tailor shop been in business?
Our tailoring house has operated continuously for 60 years, since 1965. That six-decade history predates most of Bangkok's well-known tailor shops by twenty years or more. Longevity matters in bespoke tailoring because technique, fabric relationships, and fit knowledge compound over generations. Many of our clients today are the sons and grandsons of men who ordered their first suits from Mr. Ram in the 1970s.
Is Bespoke Suits Bangkok one of the oldest tailors in Bangkok?
Yes. Founded in 1965, we are among the very first professional custom tailoring houses established in Thailand. Most of the tailor shops along Sukhumvit and Silom opened in the 1980s, 1990s, or later. Six decades of continuous operation through every era of Bangkok's growth is a record very few shops in the city can match, and it shows in the depth of craft our master tailors bring to every garment.
Who will actually make my suit?
Your suit is made by our own master tailors, craftsmen who learned their trade across generations under Mr. Ram's tradition. The person who measures you is directly involved in how your garment is cut and fitted, and the same team sees your suit through basting, fittings, and hand-finishing. When you visit our atelier you can watch the cutting tables at work, and you will often meet Mr. Ram himself.
Are your suits made in-house or sent to an outside factory?
Our garments are produced by our own tailoring team, not dropped off at an anonymous mass-production factory. This is one of the most important questions you can ask any Bangkok tailor, because many storefronts are sales counters that outsource everything. Keeping production under our own roof is how we control hand-sewn sleeves and collars, hand-made buttonholes, and the fit corrections between fittings.
What fabric brands do you carry?
Our fabric library holds more than 500 premium options, including English worsteds from Holland & Sherry and Dormeuil, and Italian cloths from Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Cerruti, and Scabal. We also stock fine cottons, linens, Merino wool, cashmere, camelhair, and premium Thai silk, in weights from Super 100's to Super 180's. Every interlining, button, trimming, and lining is then matched to the cloth you choose.
Do you use real Thai silk?
Yes. Alongside our English and Italian wools we stock genuine premium Thai silk, sourced from Thai producers. Thai silk has been part of our fabric library since the founding era of the shop, and it remains a favorite for dinner jackets, linings, pocket squares, and garments with a distinctly Thai character. If you want a piece that could only have been made in Bangkok, Thai silk is the place to start.
What does hand-finished mean at Bespoke Suits Bangkok?
Every suit leaves our atelier with hand-sewn sleeves and collars, hand-made buttonholes, and hand-picked linings, buttons, and trimmings coordinated to your fabric. Hand work matters because it gives the garment natural drape and an easy-flowing fit that machine assembly cannot replicate. It is slower and more demanding, which is exactly why most volume-oriented shops skip it and why we never do.
Do you monogram your suits?
Yes, and it is included, not an upsell. Every bespoke jacket we make carries your embroidered initials or full name inside, a signature of the house since Mr. Ram's early years. It is a small detail, but it marks the difference between a garment made for a market and a garment made for one person.
Who are your typical clients?
For six decades we have dressed diplomats, ambassadors, business leaders, executives, professionals, and civil servants from more than 100 countries, alongside Bangkok locals and expats who value quality tailoring close to home. We are proud that much of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals, including families where three generations have been measured at the same cutting tables.
What languages does your team speak?
Our team speaks English, Thai, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. Bespoke tailoring depends on precise communication about fit preferences, styling details, and lifestyle, so being able to discuss your garment in a language you are comfortable in is not a luxury, it is part of getting the suit right.
Where exactly is your atelier and how do I get there?
We are at 720/2 Sukhumvit 28, Soi Bannasan, in the heart of Bangkok's established expat and diplomatic neighborhood. It is a five minute walk from BTS Phrom Phong Station, Exit 4, close to Emporium, Benjasiri Park, and the embassy district. If you are staying around Asoke, Thong Lor, or anywhere along the Sukhumvit line, we are one of the easiest quality tailors in the city to reach.
Do I need an appointment or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are always welcome during our opening hours, 10 AM to 9 PM every day. That said, booking an appointment guarantees you unhurried, one-on-one time with a master tailor for your consultation and fabric selection, which we recommend for first orders. You can book through our contact page, by phone, or by email, and we respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
How quickly can you complete a bespoke suit?
Most bespoke suits are completed in 2 to 3 days, including multiple fittings. We can work this quickly without cutting corners because our production is in-house and our tailors have refined the process over 60 years. If your schedule allows more time, we will gladly use it, and if you are on a tight itinerary, tell us your departure date at the consultation and we will plan the fittings around it.
Can you still serve me after I leave Thailand?
Yes. Your measurements and pattern stay on file permanently, so you can reorder suits, shirts, or trousers by email from anywhere in the world. We ship completed garments to more than 100 countries via DHL Express. Many of our international clients visit once, then order remotely for years, with a refresh of measurements whenever they pass through Bangkok.
What happens if the fit is not right?
Fit is what bespoke means, so we do not consider a garment finished until it fits. Multiple fittings are built into every order precisely so adjustments happen before delivery, not after. If something needs attention later, from natural weight changes to a detail you want revised, bring the garment back to the atelier and we will take care of it, or contact us with photos if you are overseas and we will guide the correction.
Why choose a 60-year-old tailor over a newer shop?
Experience compounds. Sixty years means our tailors have fitted every body type, worked every fabric, and solved every fit problem thousands of times. It means fabric relationships with the best English and Italian mills, built over decades. And it means accountability: a shop that has kept its reputation since 1965 has too much to lose to ever deliver careless work. Newer shops can promise quality, but heritage is the only proof that survives 60 years of clients.
How can I contact Bespoke Suits Bangkok?
